First Bulle Verte at Vignobles Raguenot

The First Bulle Verte was inaugurated at Château des Tourtes in July 2020, in the commune of Saint Caprais de Blaye. A successful first experience for this family estate, as Emmanuelle and Marie-Pierre, owners of Vignobles Raguenot, testify. 

IN THE HEART OF THE VINEYARDS of Blaye

Château des Tourtes is located in the heart of the Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Producing white, crémant, rosé and red wines from the emblematic grape varieties of the Bordeaux vineyards, this family estate is a nugget in the north of the Gironde, on the edge of the Bordeaux vineyards and just a stone's throw from the Cognac crus. If you are based in the Charentes and wish to discover the Bordeaux vineyards for a day, it is ideally located. 

Independent winegrowers, it is the second generation that looks after the two properties, Château des Tourtes and Château Haut-Beyzac, in the Haut-Médoc appellation, situated on the other side of the Garonne. 

Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, but also Malbec, Carmènere or Petit Verdot, this is the vineyard to visit for the curious and the amateurs, since they propose a blending workshop which will allow you to better understand the characteristics of the wines and grape varieties of Bordeaux, but also to better understand the differences between the wines of the Right Bank of the Garonne, and those of the Left Bank.

Explore the vineyards on an electric bike 

This first route allows you to retrace the history of the family, the local heritage, and to discover the different grape varieties typical of the Bordeaux region and to enjoy the vineyard landscapes as far as the eye can see, overlooking the Garonne. This off-the-beaten track experience is a moment of conviviality, in the calm, far from the summer crowds! After a 10km walk in the heart of the vineyards, on peaceful country lanes, you can refresh yourself in the winery with a visit and tasting.

And for those who wish to enjoy the setting and the tranquility, extend the experience with a picnic on the spot or take a few minutes in the heart of the Bubble to take a breath of fresh air before setting off again to discover the region and its other Green Bubbles.
