Epicurean discovery
Head for the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux terroir, between Saint-Émillion, the Dordogne, the plains and the hillsides, to meet the Cardoso family in the heart of their vineyard!
A family estate taken over by Paul and Florence Cardoso in 1997. Aware of this beautiful family heritage of wine-making traditions, they took over the reins with a dynamic and innovative impetus, with the same mission of making quality wines, marked by authenticity! The history of the Cardoso vineyards began in 1898, with Florence's grandfather building the first winery on the Haut-Beynat estate. After handing over to her parents in the 1970s, the couple finally took over the family business in 1996. Today it is Paul who proudly guards the secrets of the château.
Convinced of the benefits of sustainable agriculture, they have long since adopted a method of farming that respects the environment and the transmission of knowledge. The farm has been awarded the HVE (High Environmental Value) level 3.
"Thanks to the diversity of their specific terroirs, they say, the wine must follow this natural rule and have its own unique character..."
The Cardoso family invites you to come and take a break in their vineyard and peaceful countryside to recharge your batteries and discover the local know-how. You will taste wines of character.
Soon, you will also be able to enjoy their new slow wine tourism project, unique in Gironde. A project called "Le Côteau des sens", which highlights the local actors of the territory.
