Epicurean discovery
Maison Ogier was established in the 19th century in crenellated Moorish-style buildings. Étienne Ogier and his son Antoine, then wine merchants, set up their business on the site of a former cooperage in the heart of the village of Châteauneuf du Pape.
Today, Maison Ogier stands out for its approach to developing the 4 terroirs of Châteauneuf du Pape, made up of galets roulés, safres, limestone chips and red sandstone, as well as those of the main Rhône Valley appellations.
Its century-old cellars, in the heart of the village, house over 8,000 hL of wooden vats, foudres, demi-muids, barrels and truncated-cone vats.
