Epicurean discovery
Nestled in an enchanting setting in Beautiran, the vines of these châteaux benefit from a wooded environment dotted with clearings. Sheltered from view, these estates produce expressive wines full of character, which the new owners, Delphine and Guillaume Journel, are keen to share.
Their plans have now taken on a new and very personal dimension with the purchase of these two jewel-like estates in Beautiran. At the outset, the couple fell under the instantaneous charm of Château Couloumey. Its architecture, its marvellous park and its peaceful water features. Then Château Le Tuquet, a few metres away, came up for sale, giving the project a new scope and exciting challenges. Domaines de la Parrhèsia was born.
Today, the vineyard counts about thirty exploited hectares out of the 90 that will be gradually replanted, surrounded by woods and clearings. Biodiversity is naturally present here, and the vineyard is as alive as can be.
Each Château is like a jewel in the rough, a sleeping beauty that needs to be awakened. The wines, for their part, will have the touch of neo-winegrowers, attentive to detail, in their time, concerned with expressing both the terroir and the aromatic richness of the fruit.
