About
Situated in the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château Montlabert is a family estate that combines architectural and winemaking heritage. Since its acquisition by the Castel family in 2008, the estate has benefited from significant investment to modernise its infrastructure and preserve its historic heritage.
The vineyards of Château Montlabert are planted on clay-limestone soils, ideal for growing Merlot and Cabernet Franc. An agro-ecological approach is adopted to cultivate the plots with precision and respect for the environment.
The recently renovated winery combines cutting-edge technology with respect for winemaking traditions. Each vintage is carefully vinified to express the authenticity of the terroir, in harmony with the natural balance.
Château Montlabert produces wines renowned for their elegance and balance. The Grand Cru Classé is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, offering a harmonious tannic structure and delicate red fruit aromas. The second wine, La Croix de Montlabert, reflects the same philosophy, with a silky texture and intense fruity aromas.
Château Montlabert offers guided tours of the estate, including the parks and gardens and the new-generation winery. Tasting workshops are also offered, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the world of wine and appreciate the subtleties of the different cuvées.
Château Montlabert embodies the alliance of tradition and innovation, offering exceptional wines and a unique experience to visitors in search of authenticity and conviviality.
